Limited Warranty, NFA Compliance, and Care & Use Policy

Limited Warranty Coverage
Rampart Range Suppression Ltd. (“RRS”) warrants to the original retail purchaser that all RRS-manufactured suppressors are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal and intended use, when installed, used, and maintained in accordance with RRS published guidance and this policy.
If a defect in materials or workmanship is confirmed by RRS, RRS will, at its sole discretion:
-
Repair the suppressor, or
-
Replace the suppressor with the same model (or a substantially similar model if discontinued)
-
Warranty Term
This warranty is effective from the date of original purchase and remains valid for the life of the product for the original owner, subject to the exclusions and limitations contained herein. -
National Firearms Act (NFA) Compliance Requirements
Suppressors are regulated items under the National Firearms Act (NFA) and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Nothing in this warranty authorizes any shipment, transfer, repair, or possession that would violate applicable law. The customer is solely responsible for maintaining lawful possession and compliance at all times.
-
Serialized Item Service and Lawful Possession
RRS suppressors are serialized regulated items. For service, RRS may require documentation verifying lawful possession and/or registration prior to accepting, servicing, or returning any suppressor. -
Repair vs. Replacement for NFA Items
Due to the nature of serialized NFA-regulated products:
-
Repairs will be performed whenever feasible and lawful.
-
If replacement is required, the replacement may involve a new serialized unit and may require additional compliance steps depending on governing law.
Any required regulatory compliance steps, fees, taxes, transfer obligations, or third-party costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise required by law.
-
Care and Use Policy (Required for Warranty Eligibility)
Suppressors operate under extreme temperature and pressure. Operation outside RRS design intent may cause permanent damage. Users are responsible for proper installation, alignment, and temperature management. -
Temperature Limit (All Models)
Do not exceed 800°F external suppressor body temperature. Exceeding this limit may cause permanent damage including (but not limited to) accelerated erosion, distortion, and alignment shift.
If the suppressor becomes excessively hot:
-
Stop firing immediately and allow the unit to cool naturally before resuming use.
-
Do not introduce liquids or forced cooling methods unless explicitly approved by RRS for that model.
-
Model-Specific Fire Rate and Platform Limitations
8.1) Carson
The Carson model is rated for automatic fire on magazine-fed platforms up to 150 rounds total, followed by a required cooling period prior to continuing use. The Carson is not intended for belt-fed applications.
8.2) Gunnison
The Gunnison model is designed for use on a bolt-action rifle. Sustained rates of fire may be used without damage provided the suppressor is allowed to cool before reaching 800°F. Users must monitor firing cadence and heat buildup accordingly.
-
Warranty Coverage for Overheating and Excessive Firing
9.1) Standard Overheating and Excessive Firing Policy
Damage attributable to overheating or excessive firing beyond RRS published limits may not be covered under this warranty, except as expressly stated below.
9.2) Verified Professional Use (Law Enforcement) Exception
Damage attributable to overheating will be covered under warranty in the case of verified professional use by law enforcement personnel or agencies, as determined by RRS. RRS may request supporting documentation confirming professional duty use, agency affiliation, and the circumstances of use.
9.3) Carson Discretionary Coverage for Excessive Firing (Documentation Required)
For the Carson model only, RRS may, at the company’s sole discretion, provide warranty coverage for damage caused by excessive firing beyond published limits, provided that the end user supplies complete supporting documentation.
Required documentation includes:
-
Video documentation showing the firing process
-
A detailed written explanation including course of fire and round count
-
Timing and cadence details
-
Cool-down periods and cooling protocols used
-
Temperature management approach (if applicable)
-
Any additional relevant protocols followed during operation
Failure to provide the above documentation may result in denial of warranty coverage for claims involving overheating or excessive firing beyond published limits.
-
Ammunition, Alignment, and Installation Requirements
Users must ensure the suppressor is installed correctly and used safely. This includes confirming correct thread pitch, mounting interface compatibility, and proper torque.
Suppressor alignment must be confirmed prior to live fire. Damage caused by improper mounting, misalignment, or host firearm issues is not covered.
-
Cleaning and Maintenance
Suppressors should be cleaned and maintained using reputable, suppressor-safe products and methods. RRS recommends established products such as HUXWRX Suppressor Sauce or equivalent suppressor-specific cleaning solutions.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper or unsafe cleaning practices, including but not limited to:
-
Abrasive blasting media
-
Corrosive or caustic chemicals
-
Improper scraping, grinding, or removal of material
-
Disassembly or cleaning methods not consistent with the suppressor’s design
Normal fouling, carbon buildup, and normal wear are expected and do not constitute a defect.
-
Warranty Exclusions (Not Covered)
This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:
-
Misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling
-
Modifications, disassembly, or repair by anyone other than RRS
-
Use outside intended specifications or platform limitations (including belt-fed use where not approved)
-
Improper mounting, misalignment, baffle strikes, or endcap strikes
-
Unsafe, overpressure, or out-of-spec ammunition
-
Cosmetic wear, erosion over time, or normal wear and tear

This warranty provides specific legal rights. Additional rights may vary by jurisdiction.
